Shiny units are a special version of units that have the potential to grow stronger the more they are used.

Pros & Cons
Shiny units are always stronger than and have more advantages over their non-shiny counterparts.
Pros
- Doubles max level
- Doubles damage output
- Does not require merging or sacrificing to become more powerful (you can still sacrifice after making the unit shiny)
- Certain shiny units can evolve
Cons
- Shiny units are generally harder to obtain. Unlike normal units, shinies are never guaranteed and will most likely cost you more.
- Cannot be traded
- if you fail then the unit will break and you will need to pay gems to try again or use either impure souls, refined souls, or a pure soul to fix it
How to Obtain
Shiny units can be obtained primarily through the Tower Shop and the Store. The chance of receiving a shiny depends on both the source of the unit and the tier of it, as all unit tiers in the Tower Shop and the Store have unique shiny odds:
Shiny Odds from the Tower Shop
- Rare units have a 5% chance to be shiny.
- Legendary units have a 6.5% chance to be shiny.
- Mythical units have a 7.5% chance to be shiny.
- Godly units have a 9% chance to be shiny.
- Divine units have an 11.5% chance to be shiny.
- Ultimate units have a 15% chance to be shiny.
The chances of obtaining a shiny in the Tower Shop are the same for units received by pity.
When a player has received a shiny from the Tower Shop, the following message will be displayed on their screen: "You got something shiny.." When a player has received a shiny through pity, the following message will be displayed on their screen: "Truly pitiful, here's a shiny (Unit Name).."
Shiny Odds from the Store
- Legendary units have a 5% chance to be shiny.
- Mythical units have a 5% chance to be shiny.
- Godly units have a 7.5% chance to be shiny.
- Divine units have an 8.5% chance to be shiny.
- Ultimate units have a 10% chance to be shiny.
When a player has received a shiny through pity, the following message will be displayed on their screen: "You got something shiny.."
Additional Information
Shiny units can also be rewarded through other means, such as battlepasses. Furthermore:
- Crates cannot give shiny units.
- Common-tier units are the only units that cannot naturally be shiny, they must be made using the shinifier
- Shiny units cannot be obtained through trading.
Levelling Shiny Units
Levelling a shiny unit can be done by playing any map in the Classic gamemode on either Normal or Hard. You can also play Map of the Day. See below a table of how much Shiny Unit EXP every map gives per difficulty.

Aside from playing matches, there is also another way of levelling them up. This is through means of using Grimoires.
Grimoires
- Mundane Grimoire will grant 10% of the exp needed for the current level.
- Rare Grimoire will grant 30% of the exp needed for the current level.
- Epic Grimoire will grant 40% of the exp needed for the current level.
- Legendary Grimoire will grant 50% of the exp needed for the current level.
- Forbidden Grimoire will grant 100% of the exp needed for the current level.
Amplified Trait
All units have a chance to receive a trait called Amplified. This trait doubles the experience gain of any unit with the trait. If a shiny unit has this trait, it is best to keep it as it becomes harder for a shiny unit to level up the closer it is to its level cap. Do keep in mind that this trait will not function when levelling up a tower using the Training Ground.

Statistics
- Offensive units: The difference in damage between a Non-Evolved Level 1 and a Level 80 is approximately 3.33x. This damage difference is the same as the difference between a Non-Shiny and and a max level shiny. The difference in damage between an Evolved Level 1 and a Level 80 is approximately 2.55x. This damage difference is the same as the difference between a Non-Shiny and and a max level shiny. The difference in damage between an Evolved Level 1 and a Level 90 is approximately 3.53x. This damage difference is the same as the difference between a Non-Shiny and and a max level shiny.
- Farm units: Farm units don't deal damage, they give cash per wave. This is calculated/buffed by damage boosts however. This makes the difference between a non-shiny unit and a max level (50) shiny unit approximately 1.78x.
- Dragon units: Dragons don't deal damage and therefore can't have that statistic be buffed. Instead, the buff of dragons will be extended by 1 second for each level that the shiny dragon gains. For example: A shiny, max level Green Drago will be Level 50 and with that have an 80 second buff time instead of the 31 seconds that a normal Green Drago has.
