Update 37 added the Skins feature, this can be used to alter the appearance of the towers you choose so long as you have the skin unlocked.
How to access
This feature can be accessed by going to your inventory, where all your towers are stored and selected. You will see a picture of the button on the left.
Then you'll have to click on the tower of your choice and as long as they have an available skin you will see this button. Example in the lower right corner of the image on the right.
When you click this button, the skins menu will pop up. In this menu you can select the skin you want to use for your tower. You will see a picture of the menu on the left.
What are skins for
When you've selected the skins for your towers that you want to use, the equipped skins will be how the unit appears when used in matches. If instead you want to use the skin of a tower as your morph, you'll have to re-morph into the same tower again for it to appear.
Some skins also apply buffs to the tower when you've selected them.
